Yes, it’s iconic. Yes, it’s popular. And to be honest? There’s a reason.

The architecture around Bethesda Fountain is unreal in photos. The stonework, arches, stairs, reflections, musicians playing nearby… it has this movie-like feeling that works SO well for engagement sessions.

Upper West Side

The Upper West Side has a completely different pace than the Upper East Side, and I mean that lovingly. It feels cozier. More relaxed and neighborhood-oriented.

The area around the American Museum of Natural History is one of my favorite underrated spots for engagement photos. The architecture gives this a really grand, editorial feeling without needing much else around it. It feels classic New York without a screaming tourist attraction.

And being close to Central Park means you can easily combine both for variety in your gallery. One thing I always tell my couples: variety matters more than cramming in a million locations.

Brooklyn

Brooklyn deserves its own section because there are SO many different rhythms here. Brooklyn can be artsy, quiet, modern, industrial, romantic, trendy, cozy, textured… all depending on where you go.
